LEARN HOW TO DESIGN WHAT GETS VOTES: 

1.  Stop complaining about your hair! It’s better to get a 4.5-5 now and do your best than sit on your pity pot and hope for a 4.
2. Wear hair and makeup that gets votes even if you wouldn’t choose it for yourself. Yes, there is hair and makeup in lower levels that gets decent votes.
   
   a.     GOOD HAIR CHOICES
                                                                 i.      Long hair - Free Spirit (lvl 4) and Denim Daze (lvl 6) and sometimes Side Sweep (lvl 4)
                                                               ii.      Updos – High Bun (lvl 1) and French Twist (lvl 8)
                                                             iii.      Short hair – Finger Curl (lvl 6) & Page Boy (lvl 7) be selective with short hair, it doesn’t do well unless the challenge is best suited for it.
   b.     GOOD MAKEUP CHOICES
                                                                 i.      Nude makeup get votes! If you’re not sure, go NUDE! 90% of the challenges that got me a 4.5-5 average used the Day to Night makeup (lvl 6) when I was new. After that Feather Lashes (lvl 13)
                                                               ii.      When you’re sure you need red lips, use Red Velvet (lvl 6)
3. Try to score at least 4.5, aim for 5’s to get 2 prizes to increase your closet value and have unworn pieces in your closet.
4. Pick colors and shapes that fit well with the background. Most people don't realize it, but if the outfit clashes with background, many people will unconsciously vote against it, because it is not visually appealing to the brain as a WHOLE picture. So as well as accruing extra points with in-season items and unworn items, try to think of your style as a whole picture, not just the model.
5. Favorite looks you like so you can use them as future reference!
6. Less is more. Covet voters are predictable. Stick with normality. If you look at the top stylists, they use the same skin tone, same hair, same make-up almost every time. Not only that, every look she does has the same rings, same earrings and same necklace she keeps it simple, hence being in the top 3 consistently.
7. Speaking of jewellery, less is more here too. Use only one or two items. A necklace and ring, earrings and bracelet or even just a ring. Don’t overdue the jewellery unless the challenge requirements force you to.
